6 Hours of Spa : The ultimate battle ahead of LeMans

The second round of the FIA World Endurance Championship is set to take place on May 9 at the iconic Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps. As the final race before the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans, the 6 Hours of Spa is a crucial milestone in the 2026 endurance racing season. With large crowds expected in the Belgian Ardennes, anticipation is building for a race that often delivers both drama and key insights ahead of Le Mans.

The season opener at Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari saw Toyota Gazoo Racing secure a dominant double podium finish, underlining their strength once again. Ferrari managed to split the two Toyotas with a strong second place, showing promising pace early in the season. Meanwhile, Genesis focused on gathering valuable race data, continuing to develop its new car with reliability and mileage as top priorities ahead of Le Mans.

Several manufacturers arrive in Spa aiming to build momentum. BMW and Alpine will look to build on encouraging performances in Imola, while Cadillac, Peugeot, and Aston Martin are targeting improvements to rejoin the fight at the front of the Hypercar field.

In the LMGT3 category, Team WRT heads into its home race with confidence after securing victory in Imola. Manthey Racing, competing with Porsche machinery, will aim to convert its previous third and fourth place finishes into a win. Lexus and Mercedes-Benz face a critical weekend after difficult results in the opening round, with pressure mounting to regain ground in the championship standings.

The race is scheduled to start at 14:00 local time and promises six hours of intense endurance racing on one of the most challenging circuits in the world. Fans will also be treated to a strong support program, including the Legends of Le Mans and the Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux, adding even more excitement to an already packed race weekend.
