Historic Weekend Begins at the Nürburgring
The 24H Series has officially arrived at the Nürburgring for the first time. Friday featured free practice and qualifying ahead of the opening six hours of the split twelve hour endurance race.
Teams used the day to fine tune their setups before the first green flag of this historic event.
Pellin Racing Sets the Pace in Free Practice
Free practice produced an incredibly close battle at the front of the GT3 field.
Pellin Racing topped the timesheets with a lap of 1:54.224. Proton Competition finished only 0.052 seconds behind after setting a 1:54.276. Sainteloc Junior Team completed the top three with another strong performance.
The other classes also delivered competitive sessions.
Keo Racing led the GTX category with its new Ligier GT2. HRT Performance was fastest in the 992 class, while Hofor Racing by Bonk Motorsport topped GT4. In TCE, asBest Racing set the benchmark.
GetSpeed Takes Overall Pole Position
Qualifying saw the pace increase as teams combined their best laps from three sessions.
GetSpeed Team PCX Racing claimed overall pole position with a combined time of 1:53.324. Sainteloc Junior Team secured second with a 1:53.899, while Proton Competition completed the overall top three.
Despite leading free practice, Pellin Racing could not repeat its earlier pace and qualified thirteenth.
Class Pole Positions Decided
The class battles remained just as competitive.
Keo Racing secured pole position in GTX. Mühlen Motorsport claimed the fastest time in the 992 category. Hofor Racing by Bonk Motorsport continued its impressive form by taking GT4 pole, while Not Only Motorsport earned pole position in TCE.

The focus now shifts to Saturday as the opening six hours of the split twelve hour race get underway.
With an extremely competitive GT3 field and close competition across every class, the first ever 24H Series event at the Nürburgring is set for an exciting start.
