IDEC Sport Sets the Pace

The opening free practice session for the 4 Hours of Spa Francorchamps is complete. IDEC Sport set the fastest time during a dry but partly cloudy session.
The team posted a benchmark of 2:02.110. Forestier Racing by Panis finished second, while Algarve Pro Racing completed the overall top three.
IDEC Sport held an advantage of almost one second over its closest rivals. The result gives the French team an early boost ahead of qualifying.
Algarve Pro Racing Leads LMP2 Pro Am

In addition, Algarve Pro Racing topped the LMP2 Pro Am standings. Its number 20 car recorded a lap time of 2:03.262.
Rossa Racing by Virage finished second in class. The Duqueine Team completed the top three.
The gap at the front remained relatively small, setting the stage for a competitive qualifying session.
CLX Motorsport Tops LMP3

CLX Motorsport was fastest in the LMP3 category. Its best lap was only 0.168 seconds quicker than DKR Engineering.
Team Virage secured third place in the class. The close times suggest a tight battle could develop throughout the weekend.
Mercedes Leads a Tight LMGT3 Session

The Mercedes entry from Iron Lynx topped the LMGT3 classification with a 2:17.985 lap.
AF Corse placed second with its Ferrari, just 0.094 seconds behind the leader. Racing Spirit of Leman was only 0.002 seconds further back.
The extremely small gaps point towards an exciting qualifying battle.
Qualifying Awaits
The teams will return to Spa Francorchamps tomorrow for qualifying. The session will determine the starting positions for the 4 Hours of Spa Francorchamps.
With several classes separated by tiny margins, every tenth of a second could prove decisive.
